מאז פרוץ המלחמה, נאות סמדר התגייסה למאמץ הלאומי כשהיא מספקת פתרונות דיור ומחייה בני-קיימא בגישה הוליסטית מקיפה עבור משפחות ללא קורת גג מקווי העימות בדרום ובצפון.
נאות סמדר הוא קיבוץ שיתופי בדרום הר הנגב שמונה 250 מבוגרים וילדים. הקיבוץ מקיים חיי לימוד וקהילה לצד עבודה בענפי משק מגוונים (חקלאות אורגנית, חינוך, תיירות ואומנות).
עמותת "אנשי מעשה", אשר הקימה את קיבוץ נאות סמדר וכיום מהווה עמותת בת של הקיבוץ, פתחה קרן מיוחדת עבור תרומות מוכרות לצרכי מס מהארץ ומארה"ב. תרומות אלו יאפשרו לנו להמשיך לקלוט משפחות הזקוקות למקום בטוח לשהות בו במהלך המלחמה ולאחריה.
"אנשי מעשה" הינה עמותה הפועלת מאז 1984 לקידום צמיחה וגדילה של האוכלוסייה באזורי הנגב, ולשיתוף פעולה בין בני אדם לשם כינון חברה בריאה ויוצרת. נאות סמדר מהווה מזה שנים רבות כר משיכה ליחידים ולקבוצות מכל מגזרי החברה, מהארץ ומחו"ל, המעונינים לקיים חיים מתוך דיאלוג ושותפות.
חשוב לנו לציין כי כל הכספים שייכנסו לקרן עבור פרויקט המפונים מתנהלים בכרטסת נפרדת ובשקיפות מלאה. מעת לעת ועל פי בקשות מיוחדות של התורמים, נפיק דוחות התקדמות.

From the day the war broke out, Kibbutz Neot Semadar joined the national effort providing sustainable living and housing solutions through a 360° holistic approach for displaced families from the Gaza envelope and northern border areas.
Neot Semadar is a cooperative kibbutz in the southern Negev Mountain with a population of 250 adults and children. The kibbutz life is centered around communal learning alongside daily work in diverse fields (organic agriculture, education, tourism and art).
The “Anshei Ma’ase” Association founded Kibbutz Neot Semadar and today is a subsidiary of the Kibbutz. The Association has set up a designated fund for tax deductible donations from Israel and from the USA. These donations will allow us to continue taking in families in need of a safe place to live in during the war and after.
Anshei Ma’ase is an Israeli association active since 1984, promoting growth and well-being of the Negev population and advocating for greater cooperation between people and communities in order to create a healthy, creative society. For many years, Kibbutz Neot Semadar has been a source of attraction for individuals and groups from all sectors of society, in Israel and abroad, who are interested in a life of dialogue and partnership.
We wish to emphasize that all donations going into the fund designated for the evacuated families project are registered under separate bookkeeping with full transparency. From time to time and upon receiving special requests from donors, we will produce status reports.
