Description of the association’s activities
The “Anshei Maase” association was established in 1984 in Jerusalem.
Kibbutz Neot Semadar
In 1989 Anshei Maase founded Kibbutz Neot Semadar in the southern Negev region. The Kibbutz was established to realize Anshei Maase’s vision that the human being can live in harmony with himself, with others, and with the environment. Neot Semadar is a learning community for the study of cooperation amongst people and with the environment. Today the Kibbutz is a flourishing oasis that encompasses extensive organic farming. The Kibbutz provides a base for Anshei Maase’s activities. Anshei Maase guides individuals and groups to engage in self-study, whilst participating in a vibrant work and creative life. These activities draw groups and individuals from all sectors of Israeli society and from abroad.
The Learning Center
In 2009, Anshei Maase began establishing a Learning Center in Neot Semadar. The Center has begun hosting seminars and workshops that focus on Anshei Maase’s fields of activity: self-inquiry through observation, cooperation, creativity, contact with nature and the desert environment sustainability awareness including ecological desert building, organic agriculture, renewable energy, water recycling.
