Neot Semadar Boutique Winery

Neot Semadar winery is a boutique winery that produces a variety of organic wines from grapes grown in our beloved vineyards, the southernmost vineyards in Israel.
The winery produces red, white and sweet wines, with unique flavors, created with Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat Canelli grapes cultivated in the vineyard.
The desert soil and climate produce very different tasting wines than the same species when grown in other parts of the country and around the world: the unique growing conditions, extreme night and day temperature differences, scarce precipitations and the salty soil produce rich and unique grapes that are known for doing wonders to the taste of the wine.
The vines at the Neot Semadar vineyard are bio-organically grown, without any pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
The wines are produced in a meticulous organic process, according to the Israeli and European organic standards.
The wine is manufactured according to the unique Natural Wine system, which includes draining, fermentation only using wild yeast found on the peel of the grape, storing in barrels and bottling. Our winemakers bring a fresh perspective, combining existing knowledge and daring innovation, and mostly looking for ways to make the best of local desert conditions. Muscat Desert Sun Wine – our award-winning wine that only gets better in the sun, or Semadar – wine that contains local herbs from Neot Semadar, these are our signature wines, and they hold within them the plentiful secrets and the desert.

White Pét Nat – Sparkling wine

This wine is produced from organic Muscat and Shiraz grapes grown in the southernmost vineyard in Israel, at Neot Semadar.

Pét Nat is the oldest sparkling winemaking method. It is based on natural fermentation inside the bottle. The outcome is a bold, flowery and fresh wine with subtle sweetness. The slightly cloudy appearance and a little sediment at the bottom of the bottle are a natural part of this unique process.

Best served very chilled, for a night of love.

Rose Pét Nat – Sparkling wine

This wine is produced from organic Muscat and Shiraz grapes grown in the southernmost vineyard in Israel, at Neot Semadar.

Pét Nat is the oldest sparkling winemaking method. It is based on natural fermentation inside the bottle. The outcome is a bold, flowery and fresh wine with subtle sweetness. The slightly cloudy appearance and a little sediment at the bottom of the bottle are a natural part of this unique process.

Sauvignon Blanc

Semi-dry wine.The Sauvignon Blanc has a golden light color.
The effects of the desert can be felt in its unique
flavors, and it has the aroma of tropical fruit ,
such as pineapple, lichee and mango.
Best served at 60-80 with fish, pasta or cheese.

Shiraz Cabarnet

Dry red wine produced from organic Shiraz (70%) and Cabernet (30%) grapes.
The extracted liquid is fermented using wild yeast, naturally found on the grapes’ peel.
The wine has been aged in French oak casks for 24 months, giving it a bold and powerful flavor,
reflecting the extreme desert weather. The Shiraz Cabernet has a dark red color with a distinct purple hue.
It has a rich and concentrated aroma of blackberry and oak, vanilla, mint, chocolate,
dried dates and figs and the light sweetness of berries. It tastes elegant and spicy, with an
accentuated freshness and pleasant astringency. With a long and fruity finish.
Best served at 160-180 alongside a Mediterranean-style meal,
light meats or hard cheese.
Can be served immediately after opening or aged in the bottle.

Rosé

Wine from organic Shiraz and Muscat grapes.
Minimal soaking of the wine in its peels has given it a pinkish, clear and glossy hue with
accentuated fruity flavors and a balanced freshness.
Best served at 60-80 C.

Sigal

White semi-dry Muscat wine. Bright golden in color and light and fresh in taste.. צבעו זהוב בהיר, וטעמו רענן וקל.
The Sigal has a very fruity aroma
with a tropical character: lichee and pineapple against the background of a mild Muscat.
Best served at 60-80 alongside a light meal,
pasta and cheese, or simply for an evening of love.

Muscat

Sweet dessert wine.The late-harvest grapes have matured into a rich and fragrant wine with
tropical fruit flavors of lichee, pineapple and kiwi.
It has a yellowish color and a lingering and sensuous flavor.
Best served at 60-80 C.

Muscat Dessert Sun Wine

Sweet dessert wine.Produced from Canelli Muscat grapes.
The wine’s preparation is unique to the Neot Semadar winery:
Once the fermentation process stops, the wine is exposed to the desert sun for 4-6 months in
glass containers. The process provides the wine with unusual flavors and aromas.
The Canelli Muscat is deeply golden, with aromas of roses, melon and honey.

Best served at 60-80 C.

Port Wine

Sweet Red Wine,produced from late harvested Shiraz grapes. The wine has been aged in French Oak casks for at least 12 months, and has a strong fruity flavor, reminiscent of cherries and plums.
The port does not contain bisulfite!

Semadar (Aperitif and Digestif)

A quality drink, the result of a collaboration between Neot Semadar winery and the local organic herb garden as well as the natural desert vegetation around.
Semadar does not contain bisulfite!

Made out of Shiraz grapes and 22 type of spice and perfume herbs infused into the port wine:
sage, thyme, Syrian oregano, absinthium, crane’s-bill, laurel leaves, jasmine and lavender
flowers, Balm of Gilead (regarded as the origin of the biblical persimmon), and a Fragrant Oxeye,
collected at the desert valleys and between them.
Semadar is a unique and exciting beverage.
Best drunk cold, in small amounts and slowly so you can sense the scents and flavors and how
they affect your body and soul.
